What does my score mean?

Your score falls into the low range. This means you're doing pretty well! However, you might have chosen to fill out the checklist today because you’re concerned about a particular issue or finding some things more difficult than usual. 

It's important to remember that this result is not a diagnosis. If you feel down, sad, stressed or anxious, you might want to speak to your GP or redo the checklist in a few weeks. 

What should I do now?
  • Check out some of our tips to help you stay well and look after your mental health. It's also a good idea to learn about the signs and symptoms of anxiety and depression so you can spot them early.

  • There are a lot of great resources out there to help with the transition to parenthood. MumSpace offers a range of evidence-based online programs for pregnant women, new mums and their families.

Who can I contact?

  • Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Australia (PANDA) runs a free national helpline on 1300 726 306. The PANDA Helpline provides confidential information, support and referral to anyone affected by depression and anxiety during pregnancy and after childbirth. Counsellors are available Monday to Friday, 9am - 7.30pm AEST.
  • The Beyond Blue Support Service is available 24/7 on 1300 224 636, or via web chat or email. Our trained mental health professionals will listen, provide information and advice, and point you in the right direction so you can seek further support.
  • Check out if our NewAccess program is available in your area – it’s Beyond Blue’s free and confidential mental health coaching program where you are supported by a specially trained coach over six sessions. No referral required.
